In his new movie, Day Shift, he plays a vampire hunter down on his luck. It’s a jokey nod to the film by Michael Bay.
The Premise
In the upcoming movie Day Shift, Jamie Foxx plays Bud Jablonski, a pool cleaner, down on his luck and works as a vampire hunter at night. In the world where the story takes place, hunters make money by going after vampires and selling their fangs.
J. is in charge of making the movie. J. Perry is a new take on the old stories about vampires. It also has a pretty funny cast. Dave Franco and Snoop Dogg are both in it.
Foxx, a comedian and singer, had continued working since his first TV show in 1991 when he was on In Living Color. He is a multitalented actor whose work in movies like Django Unchained, Jarhead, Dreamgirls, Baby Driver, and Just Mercy has won him praise.
He was also recently nominated for a SAG award for his role in Just Mercy, so it’s clear he has much work to do. Still, the actor hasn’t been afraid of hard work, and he says that he’s been enjoying putting in the time to film this project. He also says there will be a lot of “popcorn-eating moments.”

In 2013, he was in the action comedy White House Down with Channing Tatum and played the lousy guy Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. In 2014, he played William Stacks, who was like Daddy Warbucks, in a new version of the musical Annie.
The Trailer
In a new movie on August 12, Jamie Foxx is back to killing vampires. In the film, Foxx plays Bud Jablonski, a pool cleaner and secret vampire hunter.
The first trailer for Day Shift is out, full of bloody action and neck-snapping. It does an excellent job of promoting the movie by saying, “From the guys who taught John Wick how to kick ass,” which looks like a lot of fun.
Foxx plays a homeless pool cleaner who is part of an international group of vampire hunters. This group is like a Teamster’s union. He wants to make $10,000 to pay for his daughter Paige’s braces and college.
Overall
Netflix likes to cash its checks with star-driven movies like Jamie Foxx’s new one. Jamie Foxx New Movie, Late in the summer, when the last film plays in theaters and the summer movie season ends. The streaming service often fills its schedule with a few cheap, empty-calorie action movies with big names and bloodsuckers.
This week, Netflix is putting out the comedy Day Shift, in which Jamie Foxx plays a vampire hunter who gets into trouble when he finds out that his ex-wife wants to leave town with their daughter. The sun-baked, squishy movie is a horror comedy that could just as quickly be called “Dad: Vampire Slayer.” It’s full of over-the-top, blood-sucking fun.
Foxx and his co-star, James Franco, have a great fight scene in the Jamie Foxx New Movie, but there is also much telling of the story. This doesn’t help the story move along much faster, though. Electro, played by Jamie Foxx, is supposed to be a redeemable character, but he doesn’t get the chance to show what he can do.
